This
is an outdoor performance where the artist uses malls,
parks, and other public sites as a laboratory to extend
the borders of performance art from the protected
environment of art centers into the unpredictable
territory of the streets. In his current intervention
Sacred Vows/Cows and Media Rituals, the artist, dressed
as a cross between Zorro and a modern day Mephistopheles,
comments on consumer culture with comedic text and
ritualistic movement. The performance lasts fifteen
minutes.

Jose Torres Tama's public intervention piece, The
Chain Gang.
